Chairman Yan Shengjun Inspected the Hanoi WtE Project in Vietnam

On May 26, CNTY Chairman Yan Shengjun and his delegation visited the Company's Hanoi Waste-to-Energy (WtE) Project in Vietnam. Accompanied by CNTY Vice President and General Manager of the Vietnam Division Li Aijun, Deputy General Manager of the Vietnam Division Nguyen Thi Hong Yun, and General Manager of the Hanoi Project Li Ke, the delegation went to the Hanoi Project site, listened to special reports on the Company's projects in Vietnam, including the Hanoi, Phu Tho, and Thanh Hoa projects, and raised clear requirements on making the Hanoi Project a benchmark with sustained high-quality operation.

In active response to the Belt and Road Initiative, CNTY, as a leading environmental protection and new energy supplier dedicated to zero-carbon and green development, has been a pioneer in entering the Vietnamese market with remarkable results in recent years. In particular, the Hanoi WtE Project, with a daily treatment capacity of 4,000 tons of domestic waste, stands out as the world's second largest WtE plant built in one go. Recognized as a key project in Hanoi, the Project has received wide attention and high affirmation from the governments and societies of China and Vietnam, becoming a model of win-win cooperation and green development under the Belt and Road Initiative. With the steady progress of Phu Tho and Thanh Hoa projects, CNTY's business in Vietnam is expected to expand further, adding strong momentum to the Company's development.

At the meeting, Chairman Yan recognized the significant contribution made by colleagues of the Vietnam subsidiary VNTY during the pandemic in overcoming all difficulties to advance the construction of the Hanoi Project and ensure its smooth transition to the operation stage. He expressed the hope that the Vietnam team continue to carry forward the Hanoi Spirit, with the ambition to set up the global WtE benchmark with excellent operations up to the highest standard; An innovative mechanism for value expression should be mapped out to encourage employees to actively contribute to the project quality and efficiency. In addition, attention should be paid to fostering an warm homely atmosphere, enhancing the unity and capacity of the project team.

Going forward, driven by the dual-engine strategy of environmental protection and new energy, CNTY will strengthen its role in the Vietnamese market as a key supplier of green energy products boosting Vietnam's economic and social development, backed by its accumulated resources in the WtE sector. Meanwhile, coupled with its core competitiveness in off-grid energy system building and green chemical technologies, CNTY will vigorously deploy new energy businesses featuring wind and solar power.
