On November 15, the groundbreaking ceremony of the CNTY Huailai 25MW/100MWh Gravity Energy Storage System (GESS) Project was held in Cunrui Town, Huailai County. This event was attended by county leaders including Jia Bing, Secretary of the Huailai County Party Committee, and Zhang Qi, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and Head of the County Government, and CNTY leaders including Chairman Yan Shengjun, Vice President Lu Ping, and Chairman Assistant Xiao Xuebing.

The ceremony was presided by Zhang Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Huailai County Party Committee and Executive Vice Head of the County Government.

Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Qi pointed out in his speech that CNTY Huailai 25MW/100MWh GESS Project, as the first-of-its-kind in the province, will be a benchmark that leads the green and low-carbon development, integrates the new energy sector and the big data sector, and materializes international application scenarios. Taking this GESS Project as the pioneer of key project construction, Huailai County will promptly set up dedicated teams and gather premium resources, to provide the most favorable conditions for the construction of the Project.

Chairman Yan Shengjun expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Huailai leaders at all levels for their trust and support to CNTY. He highlighted that Huailai County, as the frontier of the economic circle around the capital, enjoys distinct location advantages. With the strong support from the Huailai Party Committee and Government, CNTY will promote the construction of the project with high quality and fast pace, and further make it a key demo project for national green data centers, providing experience and demonstration for de-carbonizing the computing networks in this Hebei Province and across the entire China.

Amidst the enthusiastic atmosphere on-site, Party Secretary Jia Bin announced the official launch of the CNTY Huailai 25MW/100MWh GESS Project.
