To celebrate "Sanitation Worker's Day", on November 3, Gaogang District Housing and Construction Authority of Taizhou took the lead in organising a caring activity for sanitation workers to thank their hard work and dedication.

On the day of the event, the Housing and Construction Authority put a nice and hearty breakfast specially for the sanitation workers invited to the event. After breakfast, the Authority organised a visit to the Carved Architecture Complex, an AAAA level tourist attraction in Gaogang District and a provincial cultural relics protection unit, where sanitation workers were given an extensive tour around the exquisite and vivid carvings made on a variety of wood, bricks and stones. The elegant pavilions, winding paths and corridors reproduced a classic pleasant scene enjoyed by literati of the Ming Dynasty where sanitation workers were immersed in ancient history of Chinese architecture and the fine art of carving.

In the afternoon, sanitation workers came to the office building of the District Housing and Construction Authority to attend a special lecture comprising of six different sessions including conducting self-reflection, listening to the music, watching a short film, telling a story, making a comment and exchanging good will. Sanitation worker Pan Fengying’s good deed of returning lost money she found was shared at the session. In addition, officers from the District Housing and Construction Authority offered living allowance and necessities to four sanitation workers living in poor conditions and a skilled worker representative. After the lecture, sanitation workers were organised to watch the film Architect.

The aim of such activities is to let sanitation workers actually feel the care from the Party, the government, and the society as a whole, so as to increase the sense of identity and belonging to the work they are doing.

Sanitation workers have worked tirelessly to create better surroundings for urban and rural dwellers, and in recognition of that, the District Housing and Construction Authority has conducted practical actions to support sanitation workers, passing on care and warmth.
