On 18 February, the signing ceremony for the MSW incineration power plant in Guyuan was held at Ningxia Tianying Eco-Energy. Mr. Xian Guoyi, Vice Chairman of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Party Secretary of Guyuan, Mr. Yang Qinglong, Mayor of Guyuan, Mr. Ren Lixin, Vice Mayor of Guyuan, as well as Mr. Wang Peng, Vice President of China Tianying, and other leaders attended the signing ceremony.

At the ceremony, Vice Mayor Ren made the following comments on how to accelerate the city's waste incineration and disposal work:

Regulating landfill construction: All landfills in the counties shall stop operation, and all waste collected shall be transferred to Ningxia Tianying WtE power plant for incineration.

Promoting waste incineration in townships: After signing the contract, we should gradually promote waste incineration and reduce landfills by using existing sanitation facilities in townships and villages.

Accelerating the implementation of sanitation integration projects: In accordance with the agreement signed between the Municipal People's Government and China Tianying on Guyuan Circular Economy Industrial Park and Sanitation Integration Project, all counties (districts) should actively negotiate with Ningxia Tianying to accelerate the implementation of sanitation integration.

Strengthening supervision and inspection: the municipal party committee and municipal government will invite the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau and the Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau to supervise how the contract is followed up. At the same time, the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau will carry out inspection on waste incineration, and substandard work will be held accountable.

In the presence of Secretary Xian Guoyi, Mayor Yang Qinglong and other leaders, the counties (districts) signed the contract with Ningxia Tianying. After the ceremony, Vice President Wang Peng accompanied the municipal officers to visit the central control room of the production department of Ningxia Tianying, introduced the overall situation of the project and the WtE process.
