2022-06-14

On May 27, 2022, entrusted by Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department, Nantong Science and Technology Bureau organized experts to hold an evaluation meeting at the headquarters of China Tianying in Hai'an to evaluate and accept the international science and technology cooperation project "Construction of Canadian R&D Center of China Tianying". The meeting was attended by Chen Zhu, Vice President of CNTY and General Manager of Jiangsu Tianying Environmental Protection Energy Equipment Co.

CNTY's Canadian R&D Centre was awarded RMB 700,000 in 2018 by Jiangsu Province's Policy Guidance Category Initiative (International Science and Technology Cooperation) for promoting the R&D of plasma torch, hazardous waste experiments and plasma melting of medical wastes. Due to the pandemic, the assessment and acceptance of the centre originally planned to be held in 2021 was postponed to this year.

The panel consisted of five experts, including Professor Si Fengqi from Southeast University and Professor Wang Hua from Nanjing Tech University. The panel reviewed the relevant reports and materials, and concluded that the project had met the assessment requirements, thus unanimously agreed that the project pass the acceptance.

The Canada R&D Centre is positioned as a world-class R&D institution, dedicated to promoting the R&D and industrialization of plasma melting, gasification and other related technologies. After several years of construction, it has become CNTY's top talent gathering and technology R&D platform in North America, which is of great significance in building the core competitiveness of the company and promoting the high-quality development of CNTY both at home and abroad.
